Free, professional-grade calculators — built for real work.
calculates.pro is a growing collection of fast, accurate calculators designed for payroll admins, HR teams, freelancers, contractors, and homeowners. No signup. No paywalls. No clutter.
Why we built this
If you've ever Googled “convert 7:45 to decimal” or “California meal break rules,” you know what we mean. Most calculator sites are buried in ads, walled off behind email signups, or stuck in a 2006 design. A lot of them are also just plain wrong about state-specific rules.
We built calculates.pro because we use these tools ourselves and we were tired of fighting the internet to get a quick answer.
Every calculator here is designed with three goals: be fast, be accurate, and get out of your way.
What makes calculates.pro different
- No sign-up, no account, no tracking beyond anonymous analytics.
- State-specific accuracy where it matters (breaks, bonus tax, overtime).
- Instant results — no "Calculate" button required.
- Clean, mobile-first design that works on a phone at the job site.
- Plain-English explanations and examples, not lawyerly jargon.
- Actively maintained — new tools based on reader requests.
Our principles
Everything we ship is measured against these six rules.
No signup required
Open a tool, get your answer, close the tab. No account, no password, no onboarding.
No paywalls
Every calculator is 100% free. Ads keep the lights on, but they never block a result.
State-specific accuracy
Labor laws, supplemental tax rates, and break rules vary by state. Our tools reflect that — with 50 states + DC for bonus tax and 13 states for break rules.
Clean, fast, modern
Lightweight pages, big inputs, instant results. Built to feel professional — not cluttered like legacy calculator sites.
Mobile-first
Designed so a phone on a job site, a tablet in a break room, or a laptop at a desk all work equally well.
Privacy by default
Calculators run in your browser. We do not store your inputs, require login, or sell data. See our Privacy Policy.
Who we are
calculates.pro is built by a small team of developers and payroll-adjacent professionals who use these tools in their day jobs. We're US-based and focused on US laws and pay practices — for now.
When a calculator on this site references state-specific rules or tax rates, we cite the source publicly (for example, state department of labor pages, IRS Publication 15, and state supplemental withholding tables). When a rule changes, we update the tool and the reference table.
If you spot something outdated or wrong, please tell us. We fix it fast.
Every calculator on calculates.pro
All free. All mobile-friendly. All run in your browser.
